Rugcutter Jazz Band was formed as an octet in 2013 and the 15-piece Rugcutter Dance Orchestra in 2019. Both are dedicated to playing the songs of the 20s, 30s, and 40s. Featuring original arrangements and transcriptions, we play music that gets people on the dance floor, connects to the audience, and captures the feeling of classic recordings with a contemporary sound.
